Bloxham Neighbourhood Plan Consultation December 2025

Overview

The Parish of Bloxham was designated as a neighbourhood area in 2013.  A neighbourhood Plan for Bloxham Parish was ‘made’ on 19 December 2016 following consultation, an examination and referendum.  Since then the Bloxham Neighbourhood Plan has been part of the District’s Development Plan and has been used in determining decisions on planning applications in Bloxham Parish.  In October 2023 the Parish Council agreed to review the Neighbourhood plan.

The Parish Council has now submitted a modified neighbourhood plan which it has finalised following community and stakeholder engagement.

Cherwell District Council is now obliged to undertake a formal consultation on the submitted plan, and its supporting documents. Links to these documents are available below.

The draft Modified Neighbourhood Plan modifies or removes some of the policies in the Made Neighbourhood Plan as well as introducing new policies.  The modified plan period is 2024 to 2042.

Details of where the documents can be viewed in person, and how to make representations, can be found in the Public Notice below.  The closing date for comments is 11.59pm Sunday 1 February 2026.

Please note that all representations will be made publicly available and will be forwarded for consideration to the person appointed to carry out an independent examination of the Plan.

If you would like to be notified of the Council’s decision on whether to ‘make’ (adopt) the neighbourhood development plan, please state this in your representation.
