New Street Trading Policy 2025.
Overview

This public notice from Cherwell District Council is making a new policy now available for residents and businesses to comment. The Regulatory Services Team - Licensing, drafted the New Street Trading Policy, referring to street trading solely.
The Council’s current Street Trading Licence Policy was last reviewed in 2019, and with this update it will remain current.
Several amendments have been proposed, with this draft policy now separating the current draft for the Street Trading policy, which contains the Pavement Licences as part of a combined policy.
This new policy will no longer contain Pavement Licences as part of this policy, as Pavement Licences will now be contained in a separate policy.
Licenses help ensure tables and chairs are properly located and managed, and do not obstruct streets or create a hazard for pedestrians in a smaller, streamlined, environment.
