Bloxham Conservation Area Appraisal
Overview
The Local Planning Authority has a duty to review its conservation areas ‘from time to time’. Bloxham was designated as a conservation area in 1975. We are now reviewing the Conservation Area for the third time and seeking your views.
As part of the review process, Cherwell District Council has reappraised the buildings and areas within the boundary so that up-to-date information is available to planners and the general public about structures that have special historic or architectural interest that are important to the character of Bloxham. We are also seeking your views on amending the boundary for Bloxham.
What happens next
The consultation on the Bloxham Conservation Area Appraisal closed on 17 June 2025.
All comments will be carefully considered and will be reported to the Lead Member for Planning and the Appraisal will be amended to reflect comments received. The Appraisal will be used in determining planning applications within the Conservation Area and its setting.
